Silver's high conductivity, thermal performance and reflectivity do not automatically make it the best choice for every product. Pages discuss cost, surface behavior, manufacturing, reliability and substitution alongside raw material properties.

Current silver use and critical-mineral context is checked against U.S. Geological Survey material; solar-manufacturing and silver-thrifting context against U.S. Department of Energy and NREL material; electrical/thermal reference properties against NIST publications; and advertising/privacy requirements against official Google documentation.
